I'll also be selling and doing signings for my cookbook, Meals From the Mitten: Celebrating the Seasons in Michigan. Get your tickets now! I can't wait to see you there.

I recently had the awesome opportunity to join the Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer & Food Festival's Lakeshore Libation Tour. We toured the shoreline and sipped our way through several festival exhibitor wineries, breweries and distilleries. It was a gorgeous, fun-filled day strolling through Southwestern Michigan. Here are a few highlights from the Lakeshore Libation Tour.

We started the day at Crane's Pie Pantry & Winery. We enjoyed several ciders (my favorite being the Cherry Cider) and then had a delicious lunch. I had their Bison Burger, which was topped with smoked gouda and had a demi-glaze red wine reduction, it was terrific. We then had a pie flight, yes a PIE FLIGHT; you heard that right! My favorite pie was the blueberry pie, yum. I can't wait to go back and have lunch sometime soon. My husband is going to LOVE this place. Check them out next time you are in the Fennville area. The history inside their restaurant is worth the trip alone. They are located at 6054 124th Avenue (M-89) in Fennville, MI.

We then made our way over to Fenn Valley Vineyards and took a ride through their gorgeous estate. The sunflowers were in full bloom and the sky was so blue, it was the perfect day to tour the grounds. We tried several wines and learned about the history behind this winery. I loved their Capriccio!

Next up was a trip to Virtue Cider. We toured the beautiful grounds and tried their delicious ciders. I loved the Michigan Brut Virtue Cider.

We then made our way over to Saugatuck Brewing for a private tour. You MUST try their Peanut Butter Porter, it is tasty!

We finished our tour at Coppercraft Distillery & Ridge Cider. They are featuring some fresh, new products at the festival and we got a sneak peek!

Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a sweet treat on our way back. We were treated to some Chocolates by Grimaldi. It was the perfect way to end the day.
